This section of the Teacher's Library is for the QuarkNet e-Lab fellows, who are working on development of the e-Lab, as well as supporting documentation and hardware.
See the "Quick Help" box to the right for help with navigating and using the wiki.
Teachers who are just learning about the Cosmic Ray e-Lab should start at the Teachers Library.
[edit] QuarkNet e-Lab Fellows
The working pages for the QuarkNet e-Lab Fellows are at: Cosmic e-Lab.
The discussion forum for the fellows is Cosmic Ray's Diner*.
Every article in this library also has an "annotations" page where one can discuss the content of the page without changing that content.
The teachers taking the QuarkNet e-Lab workshop this summer will also be using this wiki, but in a separate section. There should not be any conflict with these two common uses (but let us know if you see any problems).
[edit] Editing
- As long as you have an account on this wiki you can edit just about any page using the "edit" tab at the top of the page.
- To create a new page, search for it by the name you want to give it, using the "Go" button, and then follow the link to create the page.
- Uploading files, and linking to uploaded files, is described on the File Upload Help page.
- Each page has a "talk" page where you can comment on the article. Use the "annotations" tab to view (or create) the "talk" page.
- There is a "Help" link in the navigation box at the left of every page.
If you are not yet familiar with how to edit a wiki, a good place to start is the Wikipedia tutorial. The markup language used here is the same as that on Wikipedia.
[edit] Editing Style
Please see the Style Guide for details and suggestions regarding editing style for this glossary. The main idea is that it's just like the Wikipedia, but there are a few small differences for I2U2.
[edit] Tracking Changes
You can easily see what is new in this library by following the Recent Changes link in the navigation toolbar at the left of every page.
You can also get links to the latest changes via an RSS news feed. Simply to to the Recent Changes page and then follow the steps required to subscribe to the RSS feed for that page. (Instructions for various popular browsers may be found here -- anyone care to make such a page here?) You can then see what's new via RSS without even having to visit this site.
