CRMD Users Manual

Summer Intern Elissa Knoff reviewed the old manual with eye toward restructuring it. Her basic approach was that the new manual will include five sub-documents from which the user can select, à la carte, depending on DAQ/GPS/counter version. The user will thus "build" their own manual.

Please review these outlines. Think about final format (doc? pdf? html? wiki?) and where to locate (e-Lab? wiki? printed?). Consider usability and audience level (teachers? students?). Return your comments by: 1 Oct, Mon. Eventually, we will need people to step up to write these sections. Some will lift, with edits, from the old manual. Some from scratch.

Jeremy Paschke made considerable progress during Summer, 2008 toward updating the detector user's manual. It includes details and pictures for the new "6000" series DAQ, plus updated plateauing instructions. Not all of the manual was rewritten. Sections must be lifted and plugged into the Section Outlines lined out above.
